1597. Aug. 7. die ☉ there was an exceeding geat {sic} winde wth flashing lightning this wind did mutch harme it blasted our beanes it began about 9 & 10. & lasted vntill 8 or 9.

RN Iune 8 ♂. h 2. 20. p m hor ♂ I went to Mr Byrds & aftr a good supper we had talke of the crosse of Ihūs christ & greate Disputation. wheathr it ough{t} to be vsed in baptisme I or noe. they Denyed it I {ass}{u}med it they held it as a popish & a wicked ceremony. this Disputation was betwixt 8 & 9 of the clocke & about after 9 of the clocke on came to Mr Byrd{s} f|t|o me for physicke wch met wth on that Directed him vppon the stone bridge & told him he should fynde me at Mr Byrds house Iune 8 ♂ hor 8. 30 p m. 1602.
