Editorial Note: In this entry, Napier appears to state that the patient is 3 years old and consulted at 45 o’clock. However, in the age, ‘45’ is deleted and replaced by ‘3’, and in the judgment section he states that the patient has been in pain for three years. This would seem to suggest that he deleted the wrong figure and intended to correct the time, rather than the age, from ‘45’ to ‘3’. The chart has been cast for 3 pm.
