Take a quart of the strongest aqua vitæ 7 times distilled in this put of th in of leafe gold \two peny weight/ grond wth salt of Tartar two ounces. then put all into a great glas wth a blynd head well luted & so let it stand & circulate in balneo mariæ 30 days. then it will be well coloured. wch being decanted wilbe as aurū potabile. the gold remayning boath in colour & weight as mutch as whē it was first put in. But yet the water will have a golden colour & a daynty odoriferous tast give of this mixed 8 drops in on onc of approprate wates|r|s for any disease this prserveth from any putrefaction & purgeth not.
