Editorial Note:  NOTE2030, written on 8 June 1602, reads: ‘2 yeres sinc & better Richardsons Daughter came to me for the queenes evill Alce Richardson & was with the queene & had a peece of gold hanged about her necke shee Dyed about 2 days since with a swelling under her throat suddenly as big as a Dukkes egge.’
