RN Alce Richardson of 15 yeres for a swelling vnder her throte & the side of her cheeke Martij 9 her nose very sore & her hed & stomack hot. Martij 9. die h. 9. 48 1599. in her owne son a prty bloody coloured wench

Editorial Note:  A note on f. 80r of Ashmole 221, written on 8 June 1602, reads: ‘2 yeres sinc & better Richardsons Daughter came to me for the queenes evill Alce Richardson & was with the queene & had a peece of gold hanged about her necke shee Dyed about 2 days since with a swelling under her throat suddenly as big as a Dukkes egge.’
