my deerest Richard I doe ceave by this your last letter wch Mr Putnā sent me, that you receaved not a letter wch I sent the other daye a gentlemā yt is schoolemaster to Mr Catesbey not farre from me, in yt I desyred you to buy me Mr Iack Doctor Iames booke wch was a litle manuall touching controversyes where he endeavoureth to ve out of the papists writings many of the testants doctrines. this booke is in decimasexto. & you in this last letter of yrs doe signify vnto me, of a second te of D Iacksons De attributis Dei, this I would intreate you to send vnto me by our caryer wth his price. further you doe give me to vnderstand, that it was yr good hap to meete wth many astrologicall treatises some printed & many other manuscripts touching the same argument my sonne trouble not yr selfe wth exscribing any of those for I have all of them. or the most te for Raziel take no care, for I have him & also yr other boookes de arte notoria, as also Thobit & ptolomey de Imaginib some {how} you name de magicis Incantationib I have not seene, but I would not have you to exscribe any more & so for yr love to me, spoyle yr bodye for yr swelling your best course wilbe, nott to busy yr head wth any more writing but give it all the rest that you may conveniently & prsently to take or {sic} recreation as mutch as you may, for pulling out of yt tooth I would not consayle you, but rather to purge wth yr pils a day or two. & to cease frō writing writing {sic} thus I have sent you yr two bottles thanking you for the contents, I am glad to heare of the wardens amendment & will truely pray for the long continuanc of his life & my sons too. to whome I desyre to be cōmanded & so hūbly beseaching the Almighty every day to conferre & to enlarg his benedictions on you I rest
