the generall, and the worthy opinion, wch the world hath worthely bestowd vppon yor learning hat{illeg}|h| \hath/ moved an Noble Friend of myne. Sr Geruase Clifton of Clifton, in Nottinghamshire kt and Barronet, to Com̄aund theise lines from mee thereby to intreate yor assistance and healpe in an infirmited {sic}, wch he is trobled with: and that yf you be so pleased, to send mee word by letter what tyme may be more beneficiall for his repare to you (wch he intends) yf you please to giue him a limited tyme or tymes. I say tymes because he hath oft affayres of his Countrie to negotiat. and by haueing two tymes. or betweene such, and such a tyme. he may accomplish his desire. and obserue yor direction. I make no doubt but you will the rather graunte this his request because you wilbe moved thereto not only from yor generall profession of Charitie, but by the speciall instance of my Cosen Frogmorton, to whome I haue ben a suiter in that behalfe.
