1597. Aug. 7. die ☉ there was an exceeding geat {sic} winde w^th flashing lightning this wind did mutch harme it blasted our beanes it began about 9 & 10. & lasted vntill 8 or 9.

RN circit^r 7. 45 m. ant m. ning 1597. Decēb. 15. it ceased afore 9. it began about 4. & cōtinued to 8.

RN we had a great flood 1597. Novemb. 26 27. w^th a great bustling wind incepit circit^r hora 4^ta vs et totā \vs/ noctē et die sequete cotinuabat. die ♄

RN |1598| Magna tempestas et cella cecidit circit^r 12. et 30. mi. die ☉. 1598 feb: 19. all this day was stormy & windy in extraordinary maner./

RN M^r the 20 of Ianuary hapned a mighty stormy wynd y^t drownd 28 parishes in Sōmersetsheere ha\r/d by Bristowe mā women & child so y^t the wat^r is gotten xx miles w^thin d{illeg}|th|e lande. churches & townes all over flowed.

S|t|he like hapned in \the strond in/ Glocestersheere l {sic} in there marshes & elswhere.
