RN my lady came \Maunsell/ showed me her wat^r Ian 24 ♀ h 10. 30 ant m. 1606. who was at my lady Chaynes howse at Drayton 35 y. a long visage leane & yellowish full of melanch. long sick & casteth every foote mutch reds. &|w|^ch trouble her mutch. & cōtinew long also whitꝭ but the {sic} weaken not yet have cōtinewed longe w^ch come 3 days before the red. casteth mutch faynt & feeble mutch wynd costive /Lady Maunsell. 35 y.\

A greiuous Headache takes him at Midnight sometimes in one te of y^e head & sometimes in y^e other te, but especially in y^e left side of his heade, w^ch makes y^e places outwardly sore where y^e paine hath beene.¹

A continually Noyse in his head w^th a tearinge paine as yf it would pull one skyn from another, w^ch comes sometimes suddenly like a strech, & then is gone in an instant

A dizines in y^e heade & a leapinge, as it were of blacke mothes before his Eyes

This paine hath continued these 6 weekes,

Desires to knowe whether it ceeds from y^e stomack or spleene, from a cold or{illeg} hote cause

Hath beene let Bloud in y^e right arme, & vnder the tongue, & in y^e forehead, beeinge tolde by the Physitian y^this greife was caused by fullnes of Bloud

Hath taken Pills & Electuaryes sundry times, but his paine noethinge deminished

Hath for many years beene troubled w^th a soundinge & noyse in his head, but neuer w^th paine till nowe Feareth a Disposition to the Palsye or Apoplexye Desires Receits & Directions to preuent these two capitall Dangers.

RN Mres Vines took her sicknes at Piddington 30 of maye die ♂ h. betwixt 9. & 10 walking at night in her orcharde. & it tooke away her speache & brought a palsy in her side & armes. shee had no vse of her lims. 1598. die ♂ h. 9. 30 mi. p m maij 30. 1598.¹

Iane Osburne of Olny of 35. for a sore back & hart best in the her bed. & nowe taketh her by fits. & burning & sweating. & aches y^t it maketh her sweate shee feareth lest it be her sicknes y^t lyeth at her harte. goeth hard to ground. her child half a yere old. had not her courses nev^r sinc shee was last w^th child & soe shee is nev^r vseth to have thē but frō child to Child. looketh yellowe. RN my Cosen Warren \Reeve/ sent me a letter Ian 25 h {sic} hor 3 \25/ p m 1623 last weeke voyded vp blood 3 tymes. to the quantity of halfe a pynt is very ill feaversh {sic} weake & feeble & cānot slepe
