M^r. Rous Clopton of Corp. Chri Coll. Oxon 35. y. Mart. 17. ☿. h. 9. p. m. 1630

A greiuous Headache takes him at Midnight sometimes in one te of y^e head & sometimes in y^e other te, but especially in y^e left side of his heade, w^ch makes y^e places outwardly sore where y^e paine hath beene.¹

A continually Noyse in his head w^th a tearinge paine as yf it would pull one skyn from another, w^ch comes sometimes suddenly like a strech, & then is gone in an instant

A dizines in y^e heade & a leapinge, as it were of blacke mothes before his Eyes

This paine hath continued these 6 weekes,

Desires to knowe whether it ceeds from y^e stomack or spleene, from a cold or{illeg} hote cause

Hath beene let Bloud in y^e right arme, & vnder the tongue, & in y^e forehead, beeinge tolde by the Physitian y^this greife was caused by fullnes of Bloud

Hath taken Pills & Electuaryes sundry times, but his paine noethinge deminished

Hath for many years beene troubled w^th a soundinge & noyse in his head, but neuer w^th paine till nowe Feareth a Disposition to the Palsye or Apoplexye Desires Receits & Directions to preuent these two capitall Dangers.

RN Ihone Persivall of Lo{illeg} 35 yeres about 20 weekes amisse. short winded. hot in her stomack shee hath broken out in her face w^th a flushing heate. payne in her hed her neighbours tell her y^t shee may be breeding of child.. 16 of novemb. die ♃. h. 1.. 1598. broke out in her nose &|f|ace & chin w^th pimpels.

RN Agnes Kinge servā to M^res Burchmore of tottle end 22 y payned hart stomack & head. sodenly ready taken at night for an hour lost her speake munday last about 12 a clock at night came in her owne son Ian 14 die ☾ h. 1. 30 p m. 1600.

RN Katheren Adson 36 y vnmaried M^res Clyftons servant for a great \heate/ in her stomack & head making her face to blyster out. pimple. febr. 21 die ♃ h. 10 30 p|a|nt m. 1600.

One walter Hooton m^r Androwes man of Lathbury beaten her that she is sore over her whole body. very faynt & ready many times to swound digestꝭ nothing. He put a hempen halter about her shoulder. /

RN Goodmā Tiffany \Typping/ the Pedler being beaten by a noth^r Pedler at newp fayre neav^r well sinc cōplayneth of his head & hart & syde & swounded yesterday & fell out of his bed. Iuly. 30. ♀. h. 7 \30/ ant m 1619.

RN Edward Winse of Luton 25 y now mayed {sic} at Christmas Last hath bleed often tyms at the right nostrell & is {sic} hath swonded on tuesd last 3 tyms extree {sic} feeble & weake March 15 ♃ h. 11 50 ant m 1627.

Troubled with y^e greene sicknes Looks pale, faynt, & troubled with a panting at her heart

RN Thomas Gardner of Dunsanger of 62 yeres old y^t pissed blood & was mended by the herbꝭ y^t I sent him in a receipte. sinc y^t time had on Waly who hath w^th his Clisters Done him litle good but is swollen in his belly w^c is growen very harde. & mutch payned in his share & can make but a litle water halfe a sponefull at a time would knowe wheath^r leekly to die or live. went not to ground sinc munday last about 12 a clocke sent to me this 18 of Apr. die ☿. h. 7. ant m 1599 burneth in his yarde.

RN Iohn Trueman of Willing i9 come lāmas. hath a swellinge in his legs fallen downe lately w^thin this sennet his \belly & body/ was before swollen. he hath taken phisick this 4 yeres. & hath taken Drinkꝭ of many & of M^r Glover of Northampton. Drinkes losing him y^t hath had taken a diet losing Drinke for 3 days fasting & had 2 cakes & hath in a day. his excrementꝭ looke white & his face & eyes all yellowe but a fully faced youthe. 24 of Apr. die ♂ h. 9. 30 p m {sic}. 1599. cathed it w^th a wet & cold. faynt & feeble.

Feb: 3. 1622. had of late a swellinge in his thighes & leggs, w^ch was taken away by physicke purginge: since that his stomacke is gone: is verie weake: troubled w^th a cough & drouth: cannot sleepe.
