Iunij 4. die h. 7. m. 45. they s {sic} hoysed sayles & came wth & were caried wt fortunate winds to the harbour of Cales & came before the towne vppō mor: about 5|h|. 5. 50 m. & cast ankre wthin the shot of the towne & were tossed wth exceeding boysterous & blustering winds all yt day & in great iudy to make shipwrack t|&| to leese there ankers. but vppon mor. 5|h|or. 5. 50 m. mor. they fought togeathr wth a hot & doubtfull battle1 but at lenght gote overcame them wc caused thē to burne there ships. afterward entred ye towne & wōne it. at what in the entry they slue Sr Iohn winckfilde
