this morninge at 3 of the clocke yt began to lighten and thunder and did Raine exceadingly tyll half an howare after 5. and then yt helyd {v}p. and I went forth prsently to lambeth. to be maried. ther went wt me mr besto & his wif. Dick coocke mr coudwell. & my boy Ihon. and my mother waller mrs Cuer and my mothers man. mr Cuer & mr gudng {&} his wif came After. and dno {fr}atello gaue my wif at church. & mrs blagu mrs applyerd & som of the house wente to church wt vs and we wer maried Iust at 7 of the cloke by the curat of Lambeth. and I gaue them 8ss 2d. his grond is haunted & treasure is hid there as the report goeth.
there is hard mutch musicke & melodye. |this Gryphen Crocker dwelleth in yt house hath seene lightꝭ.| the son of Elsborough 16|7||8| y sinc delivered a note out of a booke vnto Henry Gynger yt now dwelleth at wiggynto in hartford sheere an old man of 80 yeres. as followeth.
Elsborough church & litle Kymble church of the right syde of the way betw even against the castle hill ther lyethe of gold & sylver & Iewels brasse & pewter a weane load layd in by lord Everet knotsby & his man at the conquest this was all yt was delivered him in a note wch he lost willing him to enquire furthr for he him selfe saw often a great light wch hath bene seene since by many sinc his death. & sometymes there will appeare a thing leeke a blacke hogge & very lately seene a \white/ catt wth a marvelous long & great teale wch rāne into a pond musick hard lately by Crockwell & his wife & children.
Henry Ginger wth in those 2 yeres when some came to seek this treasure saw a white bullocke wthout ye eares & hornes. & others saw a feare gentlewomā. a lyon an Antlop a fyer {sic} wth a gray cloke cast vppō his shoulders. but none could fynd the treasure./

SRN I receiued letters from Mr Gravius from Bremen Iune. 5. ♀. h. 8. 50. a. m. 1635.

On ye 22 Aprilis ☿ h. 6. Mat. he sayled frō Grauesend wth good wind & fayre weather and ♃ about noone they mett with a ship wch made them strike sayles & weiwing them & not finding them to be Dunkerkers they let hem passe. that night the wynd turned & was quite Contrary to yeir voyage & the sea very tempestuous yt they were in great danger of being cast away. 3 ships were missed & lost in ye storme wch were not come in 2 weekes after & so feared to be cast away in yt storme.
On sunday after we beyond yeir expectacon yey arriued at Bremen
Lyes yet at Bremen where he shall not continue here he knowes not how Long
Newenburgh being beseiged wch is a hindearance to all passage
Then only the great \& strongest/ Holds is taken by the Imperialists. & his freinds fled to Cassell
Desirith me to send him some Books yt haue written in the defence of the \rites & ceremonies of the/ Church of England. & also an English Dictionary either Rider or another. And to deliuer them to Mr Alardin in Coven garden a goldsmyth the next doore to ye golden fleece Taverne, who is as he sayes a very honest man. & he is to deliuer to the shipper frō Bremen who purposed to be in England agayne about midsomer is {sic} Name is Henricke Havinc Horst. this mr Alardine hath a brother in Bremen who liues there.
Mr Tomanꝯ at his being in London did propound a marriage to him wch he refused then & does now desire me to let him know that he desires him to treate noe more of that subject or to perswade with the gentlewoman. so much he told mr Toman then when he made the first motion./.
