sometymes cā eate litle for 2 or 3 days

I receaved from my Lord of Lincolnes steward a most kind letter.

RN Agnys Kent of Moulsoe almost 5 quarters borne on Palme sonday last was twelfmonth about some {sic} rising sent to me May 14. ☿. h. 5. p m. 1628.

It is pyned & cōsumed belly hard & voydeth wormes living 6. wasteth in the body. was nurced by goody Keburne. goody Keburne came into another nurces house & would needes suckle it, wheath^r the nurce would or no & sinc mutch amys & it swounded twice to day belly very hard flesh quite wasted was not well tended by goody Keburne face swelled buttocke black & blewe. cānot stand vppon the lyms the child p^rsent w^th goody Alton of Moulsoe it did batle well vnder this nurce vntill goody Keburne her former nurce would suckle it force tooke some surfet.

RN Thomas White of Milten 56. may 22 die ♃ h. 11 30 ant m 1600 |a payne in his shoulders| payned in his head back & chest stuffed. faynt & feeble water good but yellowish. sande in his backe. a drye cough.

Susāna White of Milten ^Mres Androwes servant 18 a red coloured wenche legs sweld. hath the whites but very few of the reds. head & harte a swimminge.

RN Lewis Vppne 42. for {sic} in litle Brickwill. servant to M^r Fisher for an extreme payne about his navell y^t so payneth him y^t he can tak noe rest & four can scarc hold him down he casteth all vp & nothing will goe downward. very Costive & full of wind at the very navell. casteth vp his meate. Ap. 23. die ☾ h. 6. 15. p m. 1599. twice maried.

a e wasteth pyneth cōsumeth cougheth hoarse. keepeth his bed.

RN The ladye freemās gentlewomā. at this time cānot take her drink but casteth it. no amendmēt.

hath taken her selfe to be w^th child sinc twelfetyde to Easter. but hath had a great many of her sicknesses & doe follow her ever since but she is as big as if shee were w^th child & shee thincketh y^t shee feeleth something styrr as if shee were w^th child. very sick frō 3 in y^e morning to 2 in y^e aft^r noone y^t she cā take no rest. neith^r a bed nor vp.

shee maketh & laboureth sometymes to vomite but brin{k}|g|eth vp nothing but wat^r eateth nothing but breath. shee is very dry.

RN Iohn fisher of Havershā 27 a servant August 27 h {sic} hor 2. 35. p m 1603. for a great byle & rūning sore in his necke y^t swelleth every yere.

One walter Hooton m^r Androwes man of Lathbury beaten her that she is sore over her whole body. very faynt & ready many times to swound digestꝭ nothing. He put a hempen halter about her shoulder. /

RN & Also M^r Turbith y^e lord Spencers man. at that tyme cod swelled & harde.

M^r Turbith lord spencers mā. 30 y a batcheler. Iuly 2. h {sic} hor 2. 30 p m 1608 right stone swelled w^th a bruise as bigg as as {sic} a fist & hard.
